Description
This Basic Life Support (BLS) course equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond confidently and effectively in an emergency. Attendees will learn how to provide critical, life-saving assistance to a casualty until professional medical help arrives.
The course also includes training in the safe and effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), delivered in accordance with the latest Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
AEDs play a vital role in increasing survival rates following sudden cardiac arrest and are becoming an increasingly important part of workplace health and safety provision. They are also widely available in public locations such as shopping centres, transport hubs, leisure facilities, and community venues.
Through practical CPR and AED training, learners will gain the confidence and competence to respond appropriately in a medical emergency. No prior experience or training is required, making this course suitable for anyone wishing to develop these essential life-saving skills.
This half day course can be used as a stand-alone Basic Life Support (BLS) / Basic First Aid qualification or can also be attended as an Annual Update for current First Aid at Work certificate holders.
