The Offshore Installations and Pipeline Works (First Aid) Regulations 1989 placed a duty on those in control of offshore installations, pipeline works, or any associated activities to make provision for persons to administer first aid and emergency treatment to those who become ill or injured at work. This is a UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved offshore medic training course which encompasses all aspects of the legal requirements, alongside the latest clinical thinking.

The Diver Medic Technician course trains participants to administer advanced medical aid and life support skills for the management and treatment of diving casualties while at pressure and during saturation diving operations. The 5 day refresher course is open to those who already hold a valid DMT Certificate and enables renewal in line with IMCA's requirements for re-certification every 2 years. DDRC is a hyperbaric medical centre, undertaking daily compressions in hyperbaric chambers.

e-ILS is a flexible way of learning skills in Immediate Life Support, and blends e-learning with face-to-face workshops. An e-ILS course provides a variety of skills, from managing a deteriorating patient, identifying causes and treating cardiac arrest, to improving abilities as both a team member and leader. The Offshore Medic Refresher course is required every three years and includes training and assessment in CPR, first aid, AED, oxygen administration and intravenous/osseous techniques.

This 2 day course is aimed at any doctor with an interest in diving medicine in the UK or abroad, as well as being one of the required qualifications for becoming a HSE Approved Medical Examiner of Divers (AMED). This course should be booked in conjunction with the RCSEd online Dive Medicine Module. Please note this course is delivered in English.

This three-day refresher course is for Masters and other personnel designated to take charge of medical care on UK or EU flagged vessels who are required to undertake updating training in Proficiency in Medical Care every five years.

The Chamber Operator course is designed to introduce participants to the design, function and operation of hyperbaric chambers. It will enable individuals to safely operate chambers for therapeutic treatments and research purposes. The standard course duration is 5 days but each course is individually tailored to meet client requirements including international accreditation.
