Dive Accident Responder Course

We are running our popular 1-day Dive Accident Responder Course (DARC) specifically designed to meet the needs of recreational divers. Could you manage a diving accident? Would you know what to do if your buddy surfaced unconscious? What does it feel like to be recompressed? These are just some of the topics covered on this one day event at our chamber facility in Plymouth.

Description

Practical training: Basic Life Support (BLS) with emphasis on dealing with a diving casualty and oxygen administration.

Lectures: on Decompression Illness (DCI) - avoiding it, recognising it, dealing with it and real life case studies of diving accidents. 

Sea Survival Scenarios: To be confirmed.

Pot Dive*: Experience a pot dive in the DDRC chamber.

Prerequisites

* For pot dives, valid medical clearance and diving certification required. 

* *  PADI or BSAC processing fee required

Please be aware that upon booking this course, you will be sent important paperwork that will need to be completed and returned prior to the day. Failure to return this paperwork will mean that you will be unable to participate in the pot dive.
